Rps was founded in 2022 in Los Angeles, California by Allen Goyen, a designer and horticulturalist with a lifelong passion for plants and thoughtful spaces. His journey began in the early 90's in La Puente, CA, where he spent his childhood helping his grandmother care for her lush collection of rare plants, fruit trees, and tropical gardens. These early expiriences sparked a deep connection to nature that would shape the course of his life.

Allen went on to study marketing and music in Northern Michigan, where his love for the natural world continued to grow. In 2008, he returned to California and began his career in the legal canabis industry, consulting on the construction and design of retail spaces and large scale indoor gardens across Southern California. While successful, he felt a deeper calling-one that combined his eye for design, his appriciation for plants, and his belief in doing things differently.

When the world changed in 2020, so did Allen's path. He joined a company specializing in the installation and care of living gardens in corporate and hospitality spaces. It was there that he immersed himself in every detail of the industry, learning not just the technical side of horticulture, but the shortcomings in how many companies served their clients. Driven by the desire to build something more personal, thoughtful, and design forward, Allen launched RPS.

RPS is more than a plant service-its a niche, client-focused design studio rooted in horticulture and built on relationships. Allen personally oversees every detail, ensuring each space feels intentional, alive, and deeply connected to the clients vision. His commitment to craftsmanship and service has already earned RPS a trusted reputation among some of Los Angeles' and Beverly Hills' most discerning clients.
